How much do you pay?
This varies GREATLY depending on your item, but it is more than likely less than you are looking for. We work diligently to keep prices affordable in store, and that means we almost never can pay top dollar (there are exceptions if you have a truly spectacular piece). People often google lens their items, and they see the first thing that pops up which are high end websites where sellers ask CRAZY amounts for items that will not sell. Please do not use those numbers as your baseline, you will be disappointed. While I cannot pay top dollar, I can ensure that your items will be handled with the utmost care and respect, and will find their way to a loving home.
We do buy (we do NOT consign at this time), but we are very picky on what we purchase for the store. If you are looking to sell something you think we might be interested in, the best way is to email us with photos, a description, and how much you would like to sell your item for. We will get back to you as soon as we can!
What do we buy? This varies widely, but typically we are always looking for antique/Victorian/Gothic/English/European pieces. The older the better. We loved carved wood items, very old leather bound books, unusual items, bronze statues, solid brass, etc. We do buy furniture but have to be extremely selective due to space limitations.
We purchase well made leather bags, excellent condition fur coats, wool, cashmere, etc. Nothing not made with natural fibers. Style contributes greatly to whether or not we can take your items.
We DO NOT buy your traditional collectibles (IE precious moments, dolls, hummels, lladro, etc), kitchenware, china sets, most mid century (there are a few exceptions). This is not an exhaustive list, just some of the more common ones I get asked about. There is a LOT we cannot take.
